I posted on Facebook earlier this week, “Faith is developed on the anvil of trouble, trauma, trial, transition and testing. Your crisis is a part of God’s construction process. He’s at work in you and for you. Trust Him!” This is such an important principle to learn. God does not waste problems or pain. He builds us through the hard times and teaches us perseverance. As He states in James 1:2-4, “Consider it pure joy brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

God is good, loving, and all-powerful. He wants to use the raw materials of our adversities and mold and fashion them into “seasons” and “steps” that will build our faith. He wants to make us stronger, more mature, and more like Jesus. But we need to trust Him. We need to lean into Him. And we must acknowledge our need for His help.

In what areas of your life do you need to acknowledge your need for His help? Where in your life do you need to trust Him more? What problems are you facing? There is nothing too big or too difficult for our God. Not even pandemics are too big for God. Remember, God is for you and is at work in you!

I love the encouragement of Paul in Ephesians 3:20-21. Read and reflect on these words. And put your trust in God to grow you through good times and those that are not so good. He doesn’t want to waste an opportunity to build you into the image of His Son Jesus.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
