I Am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays His life for down for His sheep. What does it mean to know Jesus is the Good Shepherd?
1. He loves me more than I will ever know.
It’s all about you. For Jesus, His eyes, thoughts, mind, and heart are on you. You will never fully understand it, I guarantee you. There is nothing and no one more important to the Good Shepherd than YOU. Never forget that.
2. He cares and provides for all of my needs.
It is amazing to know that all of our needs are provided for by the “Greatest Shepherd” who cares greatly for you and me, and for our needs and hurts and concerns.
Turn to Him. Follow Him. Trust Him. We can know as long as we are in the hands of our Good Shepherd – the Lord Jesus – things will be OK. He’s got us.
3. He gave His life to save me.
Jesus demonstrated His love and care by ultimately giving His life to save & protect you and me. Reflect today on the ONE who gave His life for you, for me, for everyone. He bled and died to protect us from Satan and His abhorrent regime. He bled and died for our freedom, and for our future. And today we live in gratitude and we worship our Good Shepherd who loved us so much that He didn’t run and hide, but instead ran into the fight and gave His life so that we might live with Him – forever – in Heaven.
