Join me in a study on the Proverbs: God’s Wisdom for Today. As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement to your own life. Today, we study and reflect on Proverbs 13.

Reflection
Have you noticed how some people have all the answers and know everything? Or so they think. It’s true. Many folks talk and live like they have nothing to learn, they have all the answers, and they learned it all already and know it all. I don’t have the heart to tell them they don’t know it all. Maybe you can. The truth is, we all have much to learn but far too few have committed themselves to lifelong learning. What are you studying right now? What books are you reading? What discipline are you committed to mastering. At work? Personal skills and habits? Finances, faith, family, other? Take a class. Listen to a podcast. Go to school. Read a book. Be an example to your kids and others around you. Keep digging. Keep learning. Keep growing. Become stronger and better. Surround yourself virtually or in person with lifelong learners. I hate to be the one to tell you but here it goes…you don’t know it all. Learn and grow. I’ve committed myself to lifelong learning and invite you to join me. We all have so much to learn.
“The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. Good judgment wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful leads to their destruction. All who are prudent act with knowledge, but fools expose their folly. Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored. Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” – Proverbs 13:14-16, 18, 20
