As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement and wisdom to your own life.

Decision Making
Ever have to make some tough ones? Of course you do. We all do. Sometimes it feels like high-stakes decisions come our way every day. Family, kids, marriage, money, jobs, education, work, faith, health…and many more “real life” decisions abound for most of us…often. And it can get stressful. It can be uncertain and unsettling at times, but God promises to help us. If we trust in Him with our whole heart and lean on Him and not ourselves, He will guide us and guard us and give us wisdom. So, a great question to ask ourselves periodically is am I “wise in my own eyes?” Or do I turn, trust, seek, and depend on God and His perfect wisdom? As I pray, study Scripture, and get godly counsel, I can find God’s good path for me. My frequent prayer—“God, I trust in you. Help me choose wisely and make good, godly decisions that will lead to your blessings. Amen.”
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” – Proverbs 3:5-8
