If you are a confirmed traveler, here’s a suggested packing list as well as answers to some Frequently Asked Questions:

Packing List

Essentials

  • Your US Passport (make sure it doesn’t expire within six months of April 30, 2023)
  • A credit card (and be sure to alert your credit card company that you will be traveling to Israel BEFORE you leave)
  • A money belt or a neck wallet (to secure your passport and valuables)
  • A travel pillow
  • Sleep eye mask
  • Compression socks for travel/flights
  • Noise-canceling headphones
  • Earbuds
  • Your phone (check with your carrier on international rates)
  • Portable charger
  • Voltage adapter for Israel (get a special one for curling irons, straighteners, etc.)
  • A daypack (small backpack)
  • A refillable water bottle
  • Sunglasses
  • Medication (prescriptions and OTC products such as Benadryl and Tylenol)
  • Toiletries
  • Personal travel-size first aid kit
  • Sunscreen
  • Cooling towel for neck and face
  • Watch
  • Kindle
  • A small flashlight

Clothing

  • Two pairs of comfortable walking shoes or sneakers (break them in before you travel)
  • Comfortable walking sandals (break them in before your travel)
  • Water sports shoes (to protect your feet from rocks while wading into water)
  • Packing cubes (to organize your clothing)
  • Comfortable outfits and undergarments for each day of travel
  • A shawl/scarf or sweater for women to use as a head or shoulder covering for entering holy sites
  • Pants that cover the knees or long skirts for women
  • Swimsuit for floating in the Dead Sea
  • A sun hat
  • Lightweight jacket

Is it safe to travel to Israel?

Yes. Israel is a safe country. Read this helpful article for more information.

Is there a lot of walking on the tour?

Each tour day is filled with numerous stops with an opportunity to get your steps in! If you prefer not to do a lot of walking, you can rest instead of walk. Although, we do encourage you to start walking regularly to build up your energy and stamina to get the most out of the tour. Traveling can be tiring, so do all you can to build up your endurance.

When is the deposit due?

The deposit due date has passed, and our group has reached capacity. Please contact us if you want to join the tour waitlist.

Can I use my air miles for my flight?

Each traveler can work directly with the airlines to use their miles for airfare. Then they must contact the airlines to book their flights. We will share the flight information with confirmed travelers.

Is there a land-only cost if I make my flight travel arrangements?

Yes. Land only cost for Israel: $2,681 check or $2,802 credit card. Egypt Land Only: $1,080 check or $1,130 credit card.

What is the additional cost for a single room?

Israel: $890; Egypt: Contact us for details.

Are there vaccination requirements for travel to Israel and Egypt?

There are currently no vaccination requirements for visiting Israel and Egypt unless you have recently been in an area with yellow fever, cholera, or ebola epidemics. Find more helpful information here.
