At BCA, we believe in making disciples by teaching people to KNOW God’s word, GROW in our relationship with Jesus, SERVE using our gifts, and SHARE our faith with others.

ABOUT GOD – We believe in the Trinity.

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three distinct but equal beings: God (the Father), Jesus (the Son), and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1,26,27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Corinthians 13:14)

ABOUT HUMANITY – We believe humans are born separated from God.

God created humanity in His image — to be like Him in character. Although we have tremendous potential for good, we are marred by a rebellious attitude toward God called sin. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59: 1,2)

ABOUT ETERNITY – We believe in Heaven and Hell.

Humanity was created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin (Hell) or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation (Heaven). Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence; eternal separation from God is Hell — eternal union with God is Heaven (Eternal Life).  (John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; 1 John 5:11,12; Matthew 25:31-46)

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST – We believe in the Deity of Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived a sinless human life and died on the cross for man’s sins. Three days later, He arose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return to earth as the Savior of all humankind. (Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13)

ABOUT SALVATION – We believe in salvation by grace through faith.

Salvation is a gift from God to humanity. Humanity can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Eternal life begins when one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. Only by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior can God’s offer of forgiveness save one from sin’s penalty of death. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT – We believe in the active work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son of God. He lives in every Christian from the moment a person accepts Jesus as his personal Savior. He is also present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. Daily, the Christian seeks to live under His control.  (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25)

ABOUT THE BIBLE – We believe the Bible is the Word of God.

The Bible is God’s word (message) to humanity. Written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is the supreme source of Truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspired it, it is truth in its entirety.  (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119: 105 & 160; Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5)

We gather for weekly worship where we hear God’s word, worship the Lord, and celebrate Jesus with fellow Christ-followers.

We connect in small groups for fellowship, Bible study, Christian growth, and encouragement.

We participate in regular and ongoing ministry through our church and use gifts to serve and bless others.

We commit to sharing our faith with people seeking after truth and a relationship with the Lord.
