About Pastor JoAnn

Pastor JoAnn has been active in full-time Deaf Ministries for 46 years, starting in Rochester, NY, Springfield, MO, Washington, DC (Gallaudet University), then Minneapolis, MN, and next Phoenixville, PA, and finally here at Bethany Deaf Assembly. Her academic pursuits include a BA from Northwest University (Kirkland), an MA in cross-cultural studies from AGTS, and a Ph.D. from Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA).

Pastor JoAnn’s life has been dedicated to mentoring Deaf men and women as these indigenous leaders develop in the fullness of Christian lifestyle and service. She and her husband, Rod, adopted two Deaf sons from Estonia in 1995 and are now enjoying their role as Tutu (Hawaiian grandma) and Papa of four beautiful grandchildren.
