Join me in a study on the Proverbs: God’s Wisdom for Today. As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement to your own life. Today, we study and reflect on Proverbs 12.

Reflection
Who are you listening to? Whose advice do you follow? Who do you allow to speak into your life? Whose example do you pattern your life after? Who do you let influence you? Important question. If you get it right you will be blessed, enriched, encouraged, and find wisdom. If you choose poorly, you will be led astray and find yourself on the wrong path that leads to problems and pain. Many people are thoughtless and not thoughtful when it comes to discerning between what input they will follow and what they will shun. We must be able to determine between wise and foolish advice. Be discerning. Evaluate carefully. Don’t be foolish. Be wise. There are many voices in the world today. Many sources offering you, their advice. Be careful. Choose wisely. Align your heart and mind with godly values, virtues, and wisdom. And with those who clearly live them out in their daily lives.
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. Good people obtain favor from the Lord, but he condemns those who devise wicked schemes. No one can be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted. The plans of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.” – Proverbs 12:1-3, 5
