As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement and wisdom to your own life.
Store Up!
Two words in Proverbs 2. They challenge me. God says to fill your mind, heart, and life with His Word, and if we do, we will have so much good to draw on. The result will be wisdom, understanding, insight, and knowledge. Reading, studying, and memorizing God’s Word on a daily basis is vitally important if we want to be wise. God’s Word is wisdom. Store up, fill up, add to your internal database, and strengthen yourself in the Bible. Why? Because God’s Word is wisdom. Scripture changes us. Informs us. Transforms us. And aligns us with God’s Will. Store up!! Build up!! Step up!! Every day.
“My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” – Proverbs 2:1-5
