Join me in a study on the Proverbs: God’s Wisdom for Today. As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement and wisdom to your own life. Today, we study and reflect on Proverbs 27.

Reflection
Today Matters. We are told not to “boast” about tomorrow. And we are told not to “worry” about tomorrow because each day has enough trouble of it’s own (Matt 6:34). While future planning is good, living day by day is wise. The Bible teaches us to “make the most of every opportunity.” We must live in the moment, be present, and not miss opportunities that this day, today, offers. I don’t know about you, but I have found this takes intentionality. It is easy to get ahead of ourselves, worry about all there is to worry about, get caught up in our responsibilities, or even become boastful about tomorrow or next week or the future. And if we are not careful, we can miss the needs and opportunities of this day. So let’s live and plan prudently, but let’s also live and focus on the needs and opportunities of this day. Today. God wants to bless you and use you to bless others…today!! Make “today” matter.
“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” – Proverbs 27:1
