Join me this year in a new study on the Proverbs: God’s Wisdom for Today. As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement to your own life. Today, we study and reflect on Proverbs 10.
Reflection
Integrity is a quality that either matters to you or it doesn’t. You either have it or you don’t. There is no middle ground. It doesn’t mean you have to be perfect, but to have integrity means that the trajectory of your life, decisions, relationships, behavior, finances, and speech are God and others honoring. When you blow it, you own it. You confess it. You seek forgiveness. You don’t give yourself a pass. Why? Because being a person of integrity and high moral character matters to you. You work hard to train yourself to be godly. You are diligent and vigilant, you care, and you are aware. You seek to eliminate character flaws and filter out compromise. Why? Because integrity matters to you, and it matters to God.
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.” – Proverbs 10:9
