As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement and wisdom to your own life.
Wise Decisions.
Life is a series of decisions and choices. Some make wise decisions, but not everyone. Some make hasty decisions, while some think it through. Some make hard decisions for the long haul; some are more focused on the temporary fix. Some make the easy choice; others make the tough call. How well we choose goes a long way in determining how well we live. God gives us several “tools” we can use to help us make wise decisions. The Bible, of course. Prayer. Wisdom itself. He wants us to use our God-given mind and sensibility. Experiences, both good and bad. And this one here, good godly input from trusted “advisors.” Psalm 1 also encourages us to walk in the counsel of the godly. Who do you have in your life that you can trust for good and godly input? Pre-wire your life for upcoming tough decision-making by surrounding yourself with wise, good, and godly folks. They can be a blessing to you and those impacted by your decisions.
“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” – Proverbs 15:22
