Join me in a study on the Proverbs: God’s Wisdom for Today. As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement and wisdom to your own life. Today, we study and reflect on Proverbs 22.
Reflection
It has been said that reputation is what people say about you, and character is who you really are. While we are naturally concerned about both, true character is fundamentally far more important. People can say many things about you—good or bad. God sees our hearts and knows us intimately. He sees our character. He knows who we really are. He knows the truth. Don’t live for the crowd or play to the masses. Live for an audience of One. Guard your heart, mind your mind, carefully live out your faith, honor God. Who you are down deep matters more than the superficial and surface applause. Live to impact, not to impress. Be a person of deep sterling character. Character wins at the end of the day. It is what impacts people, pleases God, and results in a life well lived. Choose character every day and every time.
