Join me this year in a new study on the Proverbs: God’s Wisdom for Today. As you read through the Proverbs, I urge you to reflect, pray, and apply these devotional bits of encouragement to your own life. Today, we study and reflect on Proverbs 5.

Reflection
God sees you. He wants what’s best for you. He cares deeply about you. He knows sin will destroy you and those around you. He tells us to run from sin, turn from evil, flee compromise, and stay on the right path. Our every word and action are in full view of the Lord. We think no one knows our hidden thoughts. No one sees our secret sins. God knows, sees, and grieves. He knows sin is seductive and disobedience is destructive. Take a moment right now and thank God that He is watching over you and cares about you. Make a renewed commitment to live for Him and love like Him. Surrender every idle word, carnal thought, and selfish action to Christ. God sees. God knows. God wants what’s best for you.
“For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.” – Proverbs 5:21-23
